Ted Leines, president and founder of Leines Hotel Advisors, Inc. began his hotel career in 1994 when he became involved in the hotel business on the operational side of the desk. During this period he worked his way up to become a regional director of operations for a hotel investment company that held 26 properties throughout the Midwest and Southwest.
In early 2001 Leines moved into the hotel brokerage arena and began a hospitality division at Colliers Towle in Minneapolis. In this position, Leines used his intimate knowledge of hotel operations and market dynamics to cultivate value for his clients when they placed their hotels on the market.
In mid 2007 Leines expanded this division to become The Hospitality Services group with the addition of Steve Sherf. Steve’s expertise in feasibility studies, market analysis, litigation support and gaming provided another valuable tool for clients.
In May of 2009 Leines began Leines Hotel Advisors, Inc. It was founded with the principle of straightforward communication, powerful marketing and an intense focus on complete and comprehensive negotiations throughout the sale process. Steve Sherf joined the firm shortly thereafter and continues his work in brokerage, feasibility studies, market analysis, gaming analysis and litigation support.
